Why PerioVox, Why Now
Voice as a bridge between periodontal examination and clinical charting.

During a periodontal examination, hands and eyes are on the patient. But every measurement needs to reach the periodontal chart. Dictating to an assistant or alternating between the probe and the computer requires coordination and attention.
PerioVox was born from this everyday need: to better align charting with the clinical examination.
The Moment for Voice
Voice is already part of the operatory. We state measurements, identify teeth, and communicate findings. Advances in artificial intelligence make it possible to connect that language to digital records.
The challenge lies in placing each data point where it belongs and making review straightforward. Technology delivers value when it fits into the clinician's workflow.
A Simple Proposal
PerioVox proposes voice-driven charting, using your standard probe, with free access. These choices aim to lower the barriers to incorporating the tool into daily practice.
Compared to existing alternatives—manual entry, chairside assistant support, or systems requiring specialized hardware—PerioVox combines periodontal specialization with a voice interface and a clear commitment: “Free today. Free forever.”
The clinician remains in control: examining, measuring, and reviewing. Any improvements in time, accuracy, or outcomes must be demonstrated through specific evaluations.
A Starting Point with Room to Grow
A periodontal chart holds value well beyond a single visit: it documents a baseline condition and allows clinicians to monitor its progression over time. Facilitating the capture of this information paves the way for more meaningful follow-up and clearer communication with the patient.
That is where our vision lies. Starting with a concrete task, learning from daily use, and building new capabilities upon a foundation of clinical records that professionals can review and utilize.
A need that recurs in every appointment offers ample opportunities for improvement. PerioVox begins by bringing charting closer to the moment the examination takes place.
